The Minority Enterprise Construction Council is a means to grow and develop minority-owned residential contractors in Polk County.  Sessions are held one a week during our Spring and Fall sessions and include speakers on multiple topics.  The goal of the council is to grow minority owned contractors in Polk county.  Each session includes a best practice component where a speaker presents to the class on topics that relate to business ownership.  Each session also features a networking component where council members have a chance to meet and network with key spheres of influence to promote their businesses. 

The Spring and Fall course are comprised of two eight week courses.  The first eight week course focuses on creating and starting a business, while the second eight week course focuses on running and operating a business.

Council membership is open to minority-owned and woman-owned residential contractors in Polk county.  Applications are available and will be reviewed as they are received.  Membership is limited in each session.
