Minority Enterprise Construction Council
A toolbox for growing your residential construction business
 

The Minority Enterprise Construction Council (MECC) is collaboration between The Polk County Board of Supervisors and State Public Policy Group to grow and expand minority-owned businesses in Polk County.  Simply stated, the MECC is a tool for minority-owned contractors to grow and enhance their business. The MECC provides best practices at weekly meetings on various topics from bonding to accounting, business plan development to insurance. Council Members also interact with key spheres of influence to increase their visibility and assist with business development.

The MECC also provides certification training free of charge to members in the areas of: Weatherization, Lead Safe Work Practicies, Slate Siding Safe Work Practicies, Lead Paint Abatement and Universal Design.
